Bedrooms and Bathrooms at Derwent House
The bedrooms at Derwent House are laid out over 2 floors above the ground floor, with 6 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms, 4 of which are ensuite. The rooms are spacious and individually decorated with many of the original Georgian features, a wonderful venue for large groups looking for a top self-catering house, walking distance into Matlock town centre.
The First Floor
The stairs with the original balustrade lead you to the first-floor landing and the large family bathroom with roll top bath, toilet and sink.
The master bedroom (room 1) has a king size bed with an original Georgian fireplace, oak wardrobe, chest of drawers and bedside cabinets. If required this room can accommodate a cot. The room has a view over Knowleston gardens.
A twin bedroom (room 2) is opposite the master bedroom, decorated in classical Georgian style, with chest of drawers, built in wardrobe and en-suite toilet and shower room. Again, this room looks onto Knowleston gardens.
A double bedroom (room 3) is towards the back of the house with wooden furniture, storage, en-suite toilet and shower room.
A further double bedroom (room 4), is located at the back of the first floor with a wardrobe and en-suite toilet and shower.
The Second Floor
The second flight of stairs leads you to two further bedrooms;
A double bedroom (room 5) with a king size bed, wardrobe, en-suite toilet and shower room.
A large twin room (room 6) with a wardrobe and dressing table.
Both of the rooms on this floor offer views over Knowleston gardens and up to the church.
